Local businesses are adjusting to the latest round of COVID-19 restrictions announced by the province last week.
On Monday, April 5, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced the province would be moving back into Step 1 of restrictions. Indoor dining is now closed, retail stores have been reduced to 15 per cent of fire code capacity, libraries are closed and gyms are back to one-on-one training.

Rural Routes Brewing Company owner Braden Folk said the restaurant had only been open for two weeks before hearing indoor dining would be closed again.

The City of Leduc has partnered with TELUS to bring the PureFibre network into the city.
TELUS made the announcement during the Mar. 8 regular council meeting. Construction of the service will be funded by TELUS and will take place over the next two years. Representatives from the telecommunications company will begin public engagement with residents and local business owners in the next several months.

“We have heard loud and clear from local businesses that this last year has been particularly tough, and we continue to seek innovative opportunities to give them a competitive edge in the local, regional and global economy,” said Leduc Mayor Bob Young in a news release.
