MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State University, Mankato and South Central College (SCC) announced today they have collaborated on a partnership known as the Maverick (Nursing) Advance (Transfer) Plan, or “MAP,” between the Associate of Science in Nursing degree from SCC and the 100 percent online Registered Nurse (RN) Baccalaureate Completion degree from Minnesota State Mankato.
Students in the Professional Nursing (preparation for RN) program at SCC who participate in the Maverick Advance Plan will be provided with guidance and support from both institutions to ensure a seamless transfer path directly after graduating with an Associate of Science in Nursing degree from South Central to the 100 percent online RN Baccalaureate Completion Program at Minnesota State Mankato.

Raistlin Raven Ruther
Raistlin was born Aug. 15, 2002, in Southampton, N.Y., to Laura Schwarz and Brock Ruther.
He attended Riverhead High School and graduated in 2020. He enjoyed being a member of ROTC and attended BOCES for carpentry.
Raistlin loved being on the waters of the Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound with his kayak, named The Bay Dream. He enjoyed boxing, nutrition, hiking in the woods and along the beaches, sharing photos and videos of our beautiful area and being with family. Gentle and loving, he was very motivational and kind to others, and was a beloved joy to his many family and friends who loved him.
