In January, The Boston Globe launched Project Takeout, an initiative with a simple premise: Get takeout; support local, independent restaurants. These businesses, so important to the flavor of our neighborhoods and the fabric of our lives, were fighting to make it through the winter. Since then, each week in this space Globe staffers have shared their favorites to inspire and inform you â pizza joints and soul-food spots, neighborhood staples that have been around forever and businesses that opened during the pandemic and managed to make it work.
