The category 3 storm is packing 120mileperhour winds, also threatening deadly storm surge. Some areas could get 15 inches of rain. Delta is expected to hit later on today and it is intensifying as it bears down on the gulf coast. Courtney zabowski is in lafayette, louisiana. This storm is expected to hit that area pretty hard. That is the north bay mountains, the east bay mountains as well as the inland valleys and the Santa Cruz Mountains will all be under this red flag warning due to gusty off shore winds. Gusts as high as 35 to 55 miles an hour, especially up in the Higher Elevations above a thousand feet.
