The killer of george floyd the killings of george floyd, breonna taylor, have left americans outraged. More than 1000 are killed in america and black people are three times more likely to be killed than white people. Together, we can work to refine redefine Public Safety so that it recognizes the dignity and humanity of every person. This town hall is part of a n ongoing mine brothers Keeper Alliance town hall series. My brothers keeper was launched in 2014 after the tragic killing of trayvon martin. The president launched it in the east room of the white house, everybody to do whatever they could in their power to make sure men of color knew that they matter and to reduce the systemic barriers that stand in their way to make sure every young person has every opportunity to reach their dreams. Joining me via zoom is laura olson to talk about the battleground state in 2020. Lets go back to 2016. Laura pennsylvania is going to be a very close state again. All eyes on pennsylvania. It was pretty unusual change. Democrats had done well. It was a swing state. He was able to flip some democratic areas that had previously supported obama. These were pretty pivotal changes. Since then we have seen trends accelerating. There are some areas in the southeastern part of the state moving towards democrat, including local elections. Democrats pick up some local races there. It was a boost to democratic motivations. Delegations. It is interesting on the ground right now. Pennsylvania joining michigan and wisconsin as socalled blue wall, for democrats. Looking at 2020 with joe biden, who is from scranton, how did that play in your part of the state . Laura one unusual thing with not having rallies coming through the state, we would have been hearing a lot more from joe biden about scranton.

What can you tell us about what might be proposed . Yeah. H i mean, were going to have a hearing i think june 10th. Next wednesday. So im glad were doing it. Be a very close state again. 2016 was a long night. We had a final vote margin of 44,000 votes. All eyes have been on pennsylvania, what will happen here. Duty in asia. I continued to fly fighter jets until i refired from the military with the rank of commander in 2001. After my time on active duty, i also became a pilot for a commercial air carrier. As a commercial airline pilot, i was performing my primary duty. And association that was importantly conceived in 1931 to represent airmail pilots.
