BGT theatre group’s latest production is about a journalist researching women who fall in love with death row inmates.
In BGT’s one-woman show, Lina Peller (photo Matic Zorman) stars as Steph, a writer who finds herself more and more pulled in the deeper she digs into her subject. The Road To Huntsville by Stephanie Ridings is an intimate show that explores its character and the dark subject she is researching, but is not without humour.
“It is fascinating the way that this topic is almost the lens for us to get to meet this really, really interesting person,” says Ferelith Kingston, who co-directs the play with Tony Kingston. “The character…is funny, and she has a lot of fun with the audience,” she told us in an interview last month.
