Daniel Kaluuya, King Of Acceptance Speeches, Thanks His Parents For Having Sex Refinery29 2 hrs ago © Provided by Refinery29 This year’s Oscar category for Best Supporting Actor was stacked to high heavens, but one man walked away victorious at tonight’s big event: Daniel Kaluuya. And true to form, he came through with yet another great acceptance speech, complete with a spur-of-the-moment shoutout that he’ll probably have to clear up with his mum a bit later. Kaluuya won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his stunning performance in frontrunner Judas and the Black Messiah. The British actor starred as Fred Hampton, the charismatic and beloved chairman of the Black Panther Party in Chicago, Illinois. The film follows the chairman’s last days in the Party before his death at the hands of the FBI and informant William O’Neal (played by Lakeith Stanfield).

Atlanta Police Ripped for Comment on Spa Shooter s Bad Day

Cherokee City Sheriff Frank Reynolds held a press conference on Wednesday where he told reporters that Robert Aaron Long, the suspected gunman, had a “sexual addiction” and may have frequented the spas in the past. Reynolds said racial bias “did not appear to be” Long’s motive based on initial interviews, and at another point in the conference, Captain Jay Baker described Long as “fed up, at the end of his rope, and yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did.” Among the eight people killed in the attack, six of them were Asian women, so the shooting has raised questions about whether this is the latest in a recent surge of hate crimes against Asian Americans. With all of these factors combined, the Atlanta police force was slammed on Twitter for describing the attack as a “bad day” for Long, and for acting as stenographers by taking his word that he’s not a racist.
