History of Carmarthenshire shipwrecks to be revealed in online talk SHIPWRECKS in Carmarthen Bay will be the subject of an illustrated history talk available online on March 2 at 7.30pm. The event has been arranged by the county’s history and archaeology society, the Carmarthenshire Antiquarian Society, in conjunction with Laugharne History Society, and it will be accessible via a Zoom link. Heather James BA FSA will be the speaker and the talk will cover why there were so many shipwrecks in Carmarthen Bay and then focus on three significant wrecks which can still be seen today at low water.
