Canton Repository staff report CANTON – The Stark Area Regional Transit Authority is launching a new program designed to help Stark County businesses hire and retain new workers. SARTA CEO Kirt Conrad said employers who participate in the program will receive free 31-day fixed-route bus passes for new and current employees to use for travel to and from work. “We know that the lack and cost of transportation can pose a problem for people who haven’t been on the job long enough to earn a couple paychecks,” Conrad said in a prepared statement. “This new program is an obvious solution.
