Temperatures, a lot of us in the 60s, making our way near the 70s. Were at 70 degrees at the Philadelphia International airport. Lancaster, at 64. Allentown, 63. Mt. Pocono, 55 degrees right now. Well make our way across the map later today into the low to mid 80s for most of us. Very nice. Look at the next several hours. 70 now to 77 at 10 00 a. M. And 81 by 1 00 this afternoon. Notice this is the slower climb than we have seen in the last few days. Were not talking almost 90 by 1 00. Instead, were bearically in the low 80s. On top of that, more dry, sunny conditions. No rain, really no clouds, light winds, and then to top it off, which you dont get to say a lot in july, our humidity nice and low today. This is a day were getting outside. A very good plan. Were already at 76 degrees in philadelphia. And 74 in mt. Holly. Wilmington at 75, 72 in trenton, and Atlantic City, check that out, 77 degrees now. Heres the thing, as we get into our afternoon hours, were not going to see the big skyrocket to the 90s like we have in past days. Instead today, well be talking continuing into the afternoon, low to mid 80s for many of us. We go from 76 to around 83 by 3 00 p. M. Winds not terribly strong either. And were sunny. I felt something at 2 00 in the morning. I felt some kind of pain. Heartache for a family in delaware. A woman crashed her van into an Animal Shelter in newcastle county. She died and so did several animals. Good evening. Im denise nakano. Tonight as the family is mourning the loss of a mother of five, the Animal Shelter is working to help the dozens of pets impacted by the fiery crash. Drew smith is outside that Animal Shelter in newcastle, and drew, this developed overnight. They had to get these animals out of here. The whole building had the Sprinkler System going. Apparently this woman was driving, ended up in this parking lot, jumped this curb and smashed into this wall. On the other side, there were a hundred animals in there. The brandywine Animal Shelter turned into crisis mode about 11 15 this morning. It happened when a van came crashing through the newcastle shelter. A dog and other cats did not survive. Some of the animals are now in the organizations westchester location,
Questions remaining about the disappearance and whether foul play is involved. Some investigations go on until they peter out. We are about as far from that as zero is to 100. This investigation, the leads are hot, very fruitful. We are making great progress but there is so much more work to do. Reporter and on that question of whether there is foul play involved here, the District Attorney saying that it seems so. And you know his answer to that question this afternoon a little different than this morning when they said they simply dont know. He does say they are leading in that direction.
