democrats. and so that doesn t seem like a major discrepancy there, but what we know is that more republicans tend to turn out on election day and more democrats tend to vote early. democrats certainly have some ground to make up here. yasmin? could we bring up the numbers again that priscilla just cited. maria, you had a bit of a reaction to that. we re seeing a lag now. what does that suggest to you? i was just in houston twice over the past couple of weeks and this is exactly the number that we were talking about with an historian based in austin. we were going over this and she said people, what i m hearing specifically about texas and latino, latina voters, hard to generalize, the lack of action regarding uvalde is having an
commerce, but this new postmortem warns real trouble for the midterms. i know you had a chance to look over the report. yes, it was done by this democratic organization the third way along with latino usa and the collective. one of the biggest decisions was that they should be treated as persuadable voters. when in the 2020 election at the presidential level, but donald trump made gains with african-americans, latinos, and asian american voters. democrats still ended up with overwhelm majorities, but they found that police and socialism
ocasio-cortez. i think that their outreach and collaboration with house progressives well, i wasn t there at the time. from what i m hearing from my colleagues, is less contentious than it was with even the obama administration. and so when it comes to that perspective, i think the administration has acknowledged that there are very strong parts of the progressive movement that frankly, like, saved the party s [ bleep ] in november. and they recognize it. in her interview with latino usa, congresswoman ocasio-cortez says immigration reform is a top priority on which president biden must take action. the reason i take issue with this term surge and all of these things at the border, and just even if forget whatever you want to call it. the situation in general is unacceptable. people act as though this as though my graig patterns haven t existed, period, and that they haven t existed in this way and
