WINDOM As the year comes to a close, doors are opening for two local business owners who started a new Latin grocery store in downtown Windom last week.
Janet Hernandez grew up in Worthington, the daughter of Guatemalan parents who own and operate Tienda Tacana #2 on Worthington s 10th Street. A few years ago she met Victor Acosta, who is of Cuban heritage and grew up in Sheldon, Iowa, and they began dating. Together, they dreamed up a local grocery store that would serve people from all Latin American countries.
