Dane County awards nearly $90K for climate action through new grant program

MADISON, Wis. Dane County awarded more than $89,000 on Thursday to advance climate action through its clean energy economic development grant program.
Count Executive Joe Parisi announced seven local agencies have been selected to receive the grants from the Office of Energy & Climate Change.
The program was created to fund efforts in support of the county’s climate action plan.
Officials said as part of the application process, each applicant identified the specific priority its effort would address and detailed how the program would make progress on that priority.
