The much-anticipated May 23 online concert, “Nuestra Nota,” marked the singing comeback of Tejano and Regional Mexican recording star
Obie Bermudez, also an internationally known vocalist, and gave fans an up-close look at the couple’s love for each other and the music.
The intimate performance, streamed from the couple’s home in Corpus Christi, Texas, lasted about 45 minutes and included many of the vocalists’ top hits sung in an unplugged format. Five musicians backed the couple as they sang while seated in what looked like a dining area of the home. Peña and Bermudez conversed between songs about life, love, and their relationship, including how the two met and began dating, and ultimately married, now with five children.
