The polling for Lok Sabha elections in Gujarat’s Surat was scheduled to take place on May 7. But weeks before, a BJP candidate was declared the unopposed winner.
The BJP candidate’s agent Dinesh Jodhani raised an objection before the election officer over the signatures of the three proposers of Kumbhani and proposer Bhautik Koladiya of Padsala, saying the signatures had been forged.
The bourse has started allotting office space in the building through auction, the construction firm said. It urged the court to stay the auction because otherwise it would not be in a position to recover anything in case any award is passed.
