Her aunt said the accused didn’t stop and fled the spot. “The accused hit us and we fell in different directions. I suffered minor injuries and when I got up, I saw my niece lying on the other side of the road with her head crushed. I got scared and rushed to help her. I don’t know if the accused hit her or dragged her before fleeing.,” she alleged.
The accused, who allegedly shot Yadav using a revolver, has been identified as Shekhar, who is originally from Hapur and currently residing in Ghaziabad.
The petitioner claimed the DCP (Central District) has failed to act on their request for the NOC and has kept it pending, pursuant to which it has approached court.
The counsel said there are no exceptions to the law protecting the identity of minor victims of sexual offences and to date, an FIR had not been registered.
