Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia has described late Prof. Uche Ikonne, the former Abia Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as an “excellent scholar and administrator”. The Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar and the party National Chairman, Sen. Iyorchia Ayu have described the death of the PDP Governorship Candidate in Abia, Prof. Eleazar Ikonne as a “rude shock”.
Prof. Ikonne, who is the former former Vice Chancellor of the Abia State University, Uturu died on Wednesday, 25 January, 2023 at National Hospital Abuja.
