Drugs driver reached speeds of 90mph in BMW

Skipton Law Courts A DRUGS driver who police said reached 90mph in his BMW on Keighley Road, Skipton, has been banned from driving for 20 months. Skipton magistrates told Riazjul Rahim, 24, that they were increasing the length of the disqualification because he had been on bail at the time awaiting sentencing on another matter. The court heard on Friday that police stopped Rahim at about 8.45pm on January 20 because the black BMW he was driving was ‘wheeling’ about the road, and reached 90mph in ‘poor weather’. He tested positive for cannabis, was arrested and taken to the police station. A blood sample later revealed he had 6.6 microgrammes of cannabis by-product, Delta-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol in 100 millilitres of blood. The specified limit is two.

FEMAIL recalls the Mitford sisters troubled and scandalous lives

Britain s most famous aristocratic supermodel Stella Tennant has died suddenly at the age of 50 after gracing the fashion world with stand-out androgynous looks during her 1990s modelling heyday. But while Scottish-born Stella commanded attention for all the right reasons, past members of her family weren t as fortunate - with their scandalous escapades shocking polite society.  Stella was the granddaughter to Deborah Mitford - one of the well-known aristocratic siblings who made headlines throughout the 20th century for their affairs, love of Nazism and an attempted suicide. The Mitford sisters - Nancy, Pam, Diana, Unity, Decca and Debo - were born between 1905 and 1920 to Lord Redesdale and his wife Sydney and raised in the Cotswolds. They had one brother Tom who was educated at Eton.
