WALLINGFORD, CT A former bus driver has been sentenced to 19 years in federal prison for trying to sexually entice a 13-year-old girl who was a passenger on his route in Wallingford, according to authorities.
Jose Manuel Santos, 38, of Bridgeport, was also accused of planning to have the victim killed to prevent her from testifying against him, authorities said.
Santos was also sentenced Wednesday to seven years of supervised release following the prison term, U.S. Attorney for Connecticut John H. Durham announced.

Santos worked for Curtin Livery as a bus/van driver in Connecticut with responsibilities that included transporting children going to and from a middle school in Wallingford, according to authorities.

MENLO PARK, CA A teenager from Menlo Park has been reported missing, police said.
Wynne Lee, a 14-year-old who identifies as male, is missing according to a tweet from the San Mateo County Sheriff s Office.
Lee, who is Asian, was last seen Monday at 3 a.m. when he hired a car service to take him to San Francisco.

WASHINGTON, DC Two police officers, a former school employee and a retired firefighter are among the latest to be charged with crimes in connection with the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol as a third law enforcement official could soon face charges as well.
The officers who have already been charged, Jacob Fracker and Thomas Robertson, work for the department in Rocky Mount, Virginia. They were both off-duty when they entered the Capitol building with other rioters, according to police.

NATICK, MA The Natick Select Board on Wednesday sharply condemned the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot, but also made it clear that no town official has the power depose an elected Natick Town Meeting member photographed inside the Capitol during the riot.
The Select Board passed two separate statements on the Capitol riot at its Wednesday meeting: one covering the public health implications of residents who participated in the Jan. 6 events, and a second criticizing the event and the deaths that occurred.
