Financier and friend to the rich and powerful Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in his manhattan jail cell saturday morning. Epstein was a convicted sex offender being held on federal child sex trafficking charges after being arrested last month. His indictment alleged epstein recruited girls as young as 14 for sex. Epsteins death comes just a couple of weeks after he was discovered injured in his sell cell, put on suicide watch after that. But sources tell nbc news he was not on suicide watch at the time of his apparent hanging saturday morning. Its unclear why. Now, two federal agencies are investigating. Its hard to understand how this could have happened. Attorney general william barr said he was appalled to hear of the death and snorp ben sas said heads must role after the Justice Department failed to keep epstein safe until trial.
