and how it works inlewding dock including doctors and nurses ways of reducing people s premiums covering those who don t have insurance. making it more affordable for small businesses. having insurance reforms that ensure people have insurance even when they have preexisting conditions that they coverage is not dropped just because they re sick. that young people right out of college as they re entering in the workforce can still get health insurance. if those component parts are things that you care about and want to do i m game. and i ve got a lot of these ideas. the last thing i will say though. let me say this about healthcare and the healthcare debate because i think it also bears on a whole lot of other issues. if you look at the package that we ve presented. and there s some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating we were in the process of eliminating. for example we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent
forecasts? we were talking about depression. we re talking about the financial system collapsing. today everybody agrees that the recession is over and the question is what the pace of the expansion is going to be. these things happen in stages. first, gdp goes up. that s happened. then hours that are worked by workers who already have jobs go up. that s starting to happen. then employment goes up. we got very close to that this year. this month. with only 11,000 jobs lost. and then unemployment starts to come down. so these problems weren t made in a month or a year. and they re going to take a substantial time to solve. but what we can take satisfaction from is that we ve walked back from the brink. and, you know, forget what we say, most professional forecasters are now looking for a return to job growth by spring. now, when job growth starts, more people are going to be looking for work so it will take a little longer upon the unemployment statistics to come down. but m
watching the move. john berman has the story. reporter: in this ad featuring tiger woods, the consulting firm accenture advises, it s what you do next that counts. what accenture did next after two weeks of scandal was cut woods loose. given the circumstances the company has determined that he is no longer the right representative for its advertising. it is the most resounding rejection of woods yet after a torrent of tabloid headlines claiming afair after affair. today, that s what matters. reporter: earlier gillette said it would respect woods privacy by limiting his role in their marketing programs. woods makes more than $100 million a year but most years less than a quarter of that actually comes from playing golf. the rest comes from his now-dwindling roster of sponsors. in the golf world, there is sympathy and concern for woods. this is his caddie. he s obviously got something to work out. and you know, i just hope that, you know, for everybody s sake, that him
