Your Opinion: Understand CRT before teaching or tolerating it
Dear Editor: I was at the Jefferson City School Board meeting on July 13. It was apparent very few at the meeting including the board and Superintendent Larry Linthicum knew the difference between critical thinking and critical race theory (CRT).

I was at the Jefferson City School Board meeting on July 13. It was apparent very few at the meeting including the board and Superintendent Larry Linthicum knew the difference between critical thinking and critical race theory (CRT).
Somehow the meanings of each were getting mixed up with the definition of the other; in reality, they are two separate concepts headed in opposite directions.

Your Opinion: Smokescreen for teaching CRT in JC schools
Dear Editor: Once again, the leftist wordsmiths are trying to convince us that critical race theory (CRT) and 1619 Project curriculum is all about teaching our children to be critical thinkers.

Dear Editor:
Once again, the leftist wordsmiths are trying to convince us that critical race theory (CRT) and 1619 Project curriculum is all about teaching our children to be critical thinkers. The July 13 News Tribune article reporting on the July 12 Jefferson City School Board meeting would lead you to believe parents are in lock-step support of critical thinking as the core reason for teaching about critical race theory. However, the two concepts are in total opposition to one another.
