Delaware Business Now DSU gets a $1 million grant from Longwood The Longwood Foundationawarded $1 million to Delaware State University to support the university’s acquisition of Wesley College. The award will support ongoing transition costs, including personnel and a comprehensive plan for aligning the two institutions’ academic programs. The university announced plans last summer to acquire Wesley College and is currently moving toward completing the transaction by July 2021. Delaware Business Now Reading Time: 5 minutes Perdue Farms,as part of its “Delivering Hope to Our Neighbors” hunger-relief initiative, has invested in a new “repack room” at the Food Bank of Delawaresite south of Newark to help provide additional protein and other nutritious food to Delawareans who face food insecurity and reduce food waste. A $100,000 grant will allow 1,216-square-foot food-processing space w to receive bulk containers of protein that can then be converted to consumer-friendly, retail-size portions. Ocean Atlantic virtual fundraiser nets $36K for food bank

The funds were proceeds from the realty company’s inaugural virtual holiday food drive. Generous Realtors and team members donated $9,188 to Ocean Atlantic’s virtual food drive; in turn, Ocean Atlantic Sotheby’s matched every dollar raised.
