STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) An elderly couple found dead in their Georgia home likely perished from heat stroke, according to the local coroner. Authorities discovered the bodies of Larry and Mary Greer on Monday after someone called to request a welfare check.

The Electric Guitar Ensemble at Stephen F. Austin State University will present its fall concert, “Renaissance to Rock,” at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Music Recital Hall, Wright Music Building, on the SFA campus.
Directed by Larry Greer, adjunct instructor of guitar in the SFA School of Music, the ensemble will perform a variety of works by Michael Praetorius, George Frideric Handel, Miles Davis and Carlos Santana.
