Body of man found in Parker County as search continues for killer in North Texas

Dec. 23 FORT WORTH A massive manhunt was underway in North Texas on Wednesday for a Jacksboro man accused of dumping a body in Parker County and assaulting a deputy.
The body of a man was found Tuesday night on McDaniel Road near Cresson in Parker County, according to KXAS-TV.
The name of the victim had not been released by authorities.
Officials with the Parker County Sheriff s Office identified the suspect as Daryl Ray Johnson, 30, of Jacksboro.

The Parker County Sheriffâs Office is currently seeking a wanted subject and an active manhunt is underway in the Hudson Oaks area.
The suspect is on foot and has been identified as Daryl Ray Johnson, 30, of Jacksboro, according to PCSO. Johnson is described as 6-feet tall and having red hair.
He was last seen between North Oakridge and Farm-to-Market Road 730, south of Mary Martin Elementary school. He was wearing baggy jeans, dirty tennis shoes and a black hoodie.
He is wanted in connection with aggravated assault of a public servant, according to law enforcement.
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler cautions the public if the suspect is seen to immediately notify emergency dispatch by dialing 911, and not to approach the suspect.
The Dundas City Council on Monday unanimously approved a nearly 12% rise in the tax levy.
The council unanimously approved the 2021 tax levy 11.95% higher than this yearâs. That includes a $40,000 capital levy.
City taxes on a $200,000 home will rise by $70 next year. Administrator Jenelle Teppen has noted that though the council isnât planning many upcoming special projects, the $1.23 million levy would allow for the city to complete a $120,000 street lighting project.
Currently, there is decorative lighting on Railway Street. The council has expressed a desire to expand the array down Hester Street toward Chapel Brewing and then down Railway Street south to Mill Park. Plans also call for decorative light fixtures to be placed on either side of the bridge that crosses into Memorial Park.
