Companies sued over roadside signs so big they allegedly caused accident

Coben PITTSBURGH - A Gibsonia couple sued two businesses they accuse of causing a traffic collision by placing obstructive advertisements at an intersection, according to documents recently filed in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  According to the lawsuit, plaintiff Gregory F. Reed was riding his bicycle along the southbound lane of Mars Evans City Road in Callery on June 13, 2020. He approached and entered the intersection at Kline Avenue/Marburger Road. At the same time, someone operating a vehicle stopped at the intersection and looked for traffic before continuing. The suit says that, because of large advertising signs from defendants Ryan Homes and Milano Pizza, the driver could not see the cyclist entering the intersection.
