For a twoyearold and they were coming in one at a time, different cars. A van pulls up. A mother has three or four kids with her. The mother stops and the father of the boy who was having the Birthday Party explains that the twoyearold who was killed was hit as he got out of that van. I mean, it was more than one kid. The mother had three or four. And i guess little ones escaped, i guess, and he got hit by the car. What he saw when he came outside was horrible. He was bleeding a lot and you know, he was still breathing. We managed to call 911. The driver of the car did stop, you can see this is a tight street. Cars parked on both sides. They did immediately begin to take life saving efforts. They called police and fire and ems. It appears to be a tragic accident. We were like 2 blocks away. So we got into the car and then about 2 1 2 hours later instead he brang us here. Reporter 10yearold rafi and his 6yearold sister had been playing at the Silver Spring park and were walking home, but at 4 55 p. M. Police received a call asking officers to check on the childrens welfare. Somebody called 911. The Police Called cps and they brought the kids here and they didnt call us. Reporter cps finally called the meitev three hours later when they were frantically searching for their missing children. Youve got to tell the parents, especially when parents are being accused not paying attention where their kids are.
