Teen arrested in stabbing reported near carnival

A teenager has been arrested for stabbing a juvenile near the carnival, according to Laredo police.
Horacio Hinojosa Jr., 17, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable with up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
Laredo police officers responded to a stabbing report at about 9 p.m. Thursday near the carnival in the 6400 block of Sinatra parkway. Officers encountered a 15-year-old juvenile with a stab wound to the middle torso.
Police said the juvenile was conscious and spoke with officers at the scene. Investigators from the Laredo Police Juvenile and Gang Enforcement Team took over the investigation.
