Community First Credit Union earlier this year named local woman Lara Stilin as its youngest ever Chief Financial Officer. Effective Jan. 18, Stilin, 32, moved into the CFO role. Your Neighbourhood Credit Union (YNCU), Community Firstâs parent organization, said in a media release on March 8 the position will allow Stilin to âbe a strong role model for women in the organization, as well in the communities YNCU serves across the province.â âI truly respect and support this mission of YNCU/Community First,â Stilin told Sault This Week. âIâm thrilled to be part of it in any capacity. In terms of being the youngest CFO, Iâm pleased to see more diversity in executive teams. I think it helps when we see examples of ourselves in leadership roles. It helps have the confidence to pursue them.â
