ILOILO CITY, May 24 (PIA) - - The Local Government Support Fund - Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) will be rolled out in 42 villages in the province and city of Iloilo this year.
Department of the Interior and Local Government 6 Project Development and Management Unit Chief Mossad Vincent Araneta said LGSF-SBDP is one of the initiatives of the national government to help insurgency-affected villages. The program intends to provide much needed support – infrastructure and social services for villages that have lagged behind in terms of development.
Araneta said each of the 42 villages, composed of 36 villages from the province and six from Iloilo City, will receive P20 million each from the P16.44 billion released by the national government under the General Appropriations Act.
