DIMAPUR The Research and Development Cell of Unity College, in collaboration with the Heritage Publishing House, organised the Lecture Series- III for the teaching faculties with Niketu Iralu at Kerünyü Ki in Sechu-Zubza on April 15. The programme was aimed at increasing individual faculty’s interests and engagement on issues and challenges being faced in contemporary Naga society, an update stated. Niketu Iralu, who spoke on the topic ‘What does each one of us think is most important for our society’s survival to go forward?’ enlightened on the issues and opined that the human element is the key to survival of any society. Earlier, the principal of Unity College, Dr. Lichumo Enie, delivered the welcome note and the coordinator of Research and Development Cell, Dr. Rimmei Longmei, delivered the vote of thanks. The programme was chaired by Dr. Lanusangla Tzudir, founder of Heritage Publishing House.

Business Association of Nagas, SBI sign MoU to finance MSMEs

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with State Bank of India (SBI) in an effort to facilitate the ease of doing business and finance Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) of Naga entrepreneurs in the state. The MoU was signed in the valedictory function of the National Innovate, Integrate Expand (NIIE) trade fair on Nov. 5, organised by BAN and supported by the ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). “The NIIE trade fair culminated in a very positive note with huge promise and commitment to finance 1000 entrepreneurs by the iconic signing of MOU between SBI and BAN, which will bring hope and huge respite to the genuine entrepreneurs of the state,” an update from BAN stated on Sunday. As per the MoU, BAN will facilitate identification, preparation of MSME through project screening, documentation and submission to SBI; and finally once the loan is sanctioned, BAN will be responsible for provi
