APIA, Samoa (Samoa Observer, April 16, 2012) – Uncertainty remains over the talo industry despite a major breakthrough by a local company preparing a shipment for the United States of America. Chief Executive Officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Fonoiava Seali’itu Sesega is hopeful the industry’s foray into the United States will be successful.
A shipment of talo exported by Manai Samoa Limited is scheduled to leave for Las Vegas, on 25 April 2012. While previous shipments to New Zealand had failed to continue due to financial problems, Fonoiava is adamant that the new export company is different.
