LANSING Two Lansing School District administrators and a dean s fellow from a New York college will advance to second interviews for the district s superintendent job.
Five candidates interviewed with the Board of Education on Tuesday and Wednesday. Trustees named the Lansing School District Deputy Superintendent Delsa Chapman; Jessica Benavides, executive director of improvement and innovation at Lansing School District; and Benjamin Shuldiner, dean’s fellow at Hunter College in New York and a former high school principal, as finalists.
The finalists will appear for their second interviews on March 18. They also will appear for three Zoom meetings next week where teachers and the public can learn more about the candidates and ask questions. The dates and times of the three meetings have not yet been set.
