The executive director of Connecticut Immigration and Refugee Coalition says asking for ID and insurance can be intimidating for undocumented people. They’re not required for vaccines, so he says the question should be off the table. He believes people should be able to prove residency with other forms of identification.

Students in the New Haven school district who are 16 and up will have their chance to get the COVID-19 vaccine starting Monday. The school district is hosting a vaccination clinic at Career High School. The clinic will run from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday, April 16. Vaccinations will be administered by appointment only. Anyone under 18 has to get consent from their parents to be vaccinated.

YSN Prep Helps Building 410 Become COVID-19 Vaccination Site February 11, 2021 Building 410, located next to Yale School of Nursing (YSN), is now a COVID-19 vaccination site run by Yale New Haven Health (YNHHS). The clinic serves the general public in accordance with CDC and state guidance and injected the first vaccine on January 22.  The project is rapidly evolving, but currently YNHHS plans to operate seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. The West Campus site is part of a larger effort by local authorities and health care providers seeking locations for temporary COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics throughout Connecticut. The vaccination sites were closed because of the snowstorm. “We have a way in our electronic health record to move an entire schedule to a later day,” said Dr. Ohm Deshpande, vice president for population health and associate chief clinical officer. “Everybody will get rescheduled for this week, and that includes the weekend.”
