Containment Set Up After Man Allegedly Shot At Deputies With Pellet Gun In Santa Clarita
A containment in Santa Clarita was set up after a man allegedly shot at deputies with a pellet gun Monday evening, officials said.
UPDATE (8:40): The area has been cleared. Lanes in both directions of Soledad Canyon Road between Camp Plenty Road and Langslide Avenue in Canyon Country are open, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s officials.
At around 6:40 p.m. Monday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials received reports of shots fired from the wash off of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country between Langside Avenue and Cedar Crest Drive, according to Deputy Michelle Sanchez with the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Langside Halls SOUTHSIDERS will get their say on the future of the A-listed Langside Halls in early 2021. Work started on a feasibility study in October and a community consultation, set to be online due to the Covid-19 pandemic, on design options is being planned. It is likely a presentation by Glasgow-based Hoskins Architects and Jura Consultants, of Edinburgh, who are carrying out the study, will be hosted on the Langside Halls Trust’s website. A questionnaire will then gather the responses of both individuals and community organisations. Kevin Kane, chair of the trust, said the venue would have an active cultural and social programme as well as being available for community hires.
