In his third season as Waite wrestling coach, Russell Jennings has six letter winners returning from last year’s Toledo City League championship team, led by captain and two-time City champion Devon Wheeler.
There is a new wrestling champion in the Northern Buckeye Conference. Lake squeezed by Elmwood, 133-132, to win the Northern Buckeye Conference wrestling championship at Elmwood High School.
There is a new king standing at the top of the hill in Northern Buckeye Conference wrestling, and it is Eastwood. Genoa had won seven straight conference championships, crowning 44 individual champions, but that streak came to an end at Woodmore High School.
