City of Tallahassee opens applications for $250K Landlord Risk Mitigation fund

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â On Thursday, the City of Tallahassee announced applications are open for landlords to request support from the $250,000 Landlord Risk Mitigation Fund, approved by the city commission last month.
The program offers incentives and claims to landlords who agree to partner with the city to provide housing stability for vulnerable and at-risk tenants, the city said. Housing insecurity is a nationwide issue that has been amplified due to the COVID-19 pandemic, said Mayor John Dailey. As we work together to address the problem locally, the Landlord Risk Mitigation Fund is one way that we are helping to keep more of our community members in their homes.
