C-Tran rolls out all-electric zones

C-Tran rolls out all-electric zones Published: December 22, 2020, 6:04am Share: C-Tran announced Friday that it will implement “Green Zone” areas around the Fisher’s Landing Transit Center in Vancouver and the transit mall in downtown Portland. Hybrid buses will automatically switch to electric-only mode when travelling through the Green Zones, in order to lower their carbon emissions and promote clean air in the dense pedestrian corridors. The agency described the two initial Green Zones as a pilot program. Two buses will participate; both of them are 60-foot articulated New Flyer buses that serve C-Tran Express routes. Share: GO
