Police are still investigating the motive behind the shooting.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly shooting his wife dead in a shop parking lot in Polokwane.
The incident took place at the Shoprite Supermarket on the corner of Grobler and Landdros Mare streets, said police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo. The police received a call about the incident at about 14:00 and rushed to the scene. On arrival, the bullet-riddled body of a 32-year-old woman was found inside a motor vehicle, he said.
The victim is understood to be from Seshego. Police investigations revealed that she was seated in a car with a man when her husband arrived at the scene.
