+ April 21, 2021 BUSINESS confidence in Central Luzon continues to surge as Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) reported a total of 29,619 Business Name Registrations (BNRs) from January to March 2021.
“Despite the ongoing pandemic, businesses and investors in the region continue to show optimism and dynamism with this upward trend. The figure we have now is 6.6 percent higher compared to the 27,773 BNR processes in the same quarter last year,” DTI OIC-Regional Director Leonila Baluyut said.
Of the 29,619 BNRs tallied, 26,012 are new business name registrations while only 3,607 are renewals.
Among the provinces in the region, Bulacan registered the most number of business names with 6,832. This was followed by Pampanga with 5,051 registrations; Nueva Ecija – 4,662; Bataan – 4,235 ; Tarlac – 3,972; Zambales – 3,614; and Aurora – 1,253.
