Hospital to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed Tax Rate

During their regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 29, the Seminole Hospital Board proposed a lower tax rate that will generate the same revenue, which is the No-New-Revenue tax rate. According to Vice President Lance Lovelady, this tax rate is allowable under the District’s current Voter-Approval tax rate. The proposed tax rate by the Board is $0.249959 per $100 which is a 9.67 percent decrease from last year’s rate of $0.276720. The Board approved the proposed tax rate and will hold a public meeting to vote upon the rate on Sept. 12, 2023, at 5:30 p.m.
