Four entities connected with Brady Sullivan Properties, a property manager and developer in Manchester, New Hampshire, have purchased two lots, including a shopping center on the Fitchburg, Lunenburg border, for a total of $7 million.
Strange But True: Cameron Hill was Clinton s cereal kingdom
Terrance Ingano
The Weaving Mill was a key part of the Lancaster Mills complex in the early days of Clinton. The only building on the opposite side of the Nashua River, it was managed by Donald Cameron, who lived in the only house on the street (now the site of the sign and rock on Cameron Street).
Cameron was one of the first Scotsmen in Clinton and was a foreman of that mill building. When President Ulysses S. Grant visited our town, Cameron allowed all of his employees to go see him, but he stayed alone on the job. He suffered a terrible accident while working that day and later died of his injuries. The street and the mill were named in his memory.
