UH swimming and diving's Chase Farris qualifies for NCAA Championships

UH swimming and diving junior Chase Farris qualified for the 2021 Swimming & Diving NCAA Championship over the weekend. | Courtesy of UH athletics It was a big weekend for the Houston swimming and dive team with three Cougars competing in the 2021 NCAA Zone D Championships at the Lancaster Aquatic Center in Lexington, Kentucky. Juniors Katie Deininger and Chase Farris, along with freshman Hedda Grelz, represented the Cougars over the weekend, with Farris advancing to the 2021 Swimming & Diving NCAA Championship. Farris and Deininger finished up the 3-meter on Friday, with Farris scoring a total of 294.55 in the preliminaries and placed 16th overall with a final total score of 575.00

Longhorns dominate Zone D Diving Championship, 4 qualify for national meet

The Texas men’s diving team traveled to Kentucky this week to compete in the 2021 NCAA Zone D Diving Championship, where they finished first in the Championship Team Awards with 115 total points.

(March 12, 2021) University of Kentucky Vice President for Student Success Kirsten Turner emailed UK students yesterday with campus information including new visitation policies for residence halls and fraternity and sorority houses. The email is below. Dear Wildcats, One year ago, we were forced to confront a challenge unlike anything we’d ever witnessed in our lifetimes. It has not been easy, but together, this community has met the moment. We ve implemented protocols across campus that have kept our community healthy and safe always our top priority. Because of your efforts to participate in team testing and complete your Daily 4.0, we’ve revised our visitation policy in our residence halls, added additional support services in our Office of University Events and expanded facility hours and recreational opportunities to help you engage safely both on and off campus.
