In other 6-4A softball action Tuesday, Glen Rose (18-3, 6-0) clinched the district title outright with a 11-1 triumph over Stephenville (9-13, 2-3).

[File photo by Derrick Stuckly] LAMPASAS – The arm and bat of Lampasas’ Ace Whitehead turned out to be too much for the Brownwood Lions to overcome in a 2-1 road loss to the Badgers in District 6-4A baseball action Tuesday night. Whitehead – who is headed to the University of Texas to continue his baseball career – tossed a complete game three-hitter with 13 strikeouts and four walks. Whitehead also belted a two-run home run in the bottom of the third inning to account for the only runs Lampasas needed.
