Speed cushions for Blackburn danger road in bid to tackle anti-social driving

Speed cushions have been put in place on a dangerous road in a council s bit to tackle anti-social driving. Last week, Blackburn with Darwen Council installed one-piece speed cushions on Lammack Road, after multiple accidents over the last 12 months, which resulted in numerous cars being written-off and caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to residents homes. On December 4 at around 10.30am, a Porsche and a van crashed on Lammack Road, with an earlier collision occurring on the same stretch outside the Hare and Hounds Pub. There had been calls for safety measures to be put in place on the road for years, with resident Tommy Temperley calling for action to be taken several times.
