Dimapur, Oct. 8 (EMN): The Western Sümi Youth Front (WSYF) has adopted two-point resolution pertaining to Lamhai Namdi village claiming the land of Kiyevi village and the indifferent attitude of the state government towards the plight of Kiyevi village. The resolution to this effect was taken during its emergency meeting held on October 8 in Kiyevi village. A press release from WSYF stated that representatives from 10 Western Sümi Areas and 16 units under WSYF attended the meeting. During the meeting, WSYF resolved to stand strong and reiterated on the press statement given by WSYF under Western Sümi Hoho on September 21 serving 3 week ultimatum to the state government. It stated that the state government and the people of Lamhai would be solely held responsible in the event of any unforeseen losses or if any lives of Naga brothers and sisters are lost out of the issue. Dimapur, Sep. 21 (EMN): Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) has urged the state government to evict what it termed as ‘self-style proclaimed villagers’ of Lamhai Namdi from the village land of Kiyevi within three weeks. In a representation to the Nagaland Chief Secretary, which was submitted through the deputy commissioner of Chümoukedima, WSYF has warned of resorting to its own traditional means and ways of protecting the land if the government fails to comply within the stipulated person stating that any consequence arising out of the issue would be borne by the government. A WSYF press release issued by its president, Mughavi Awomi, and the general secretary, Bohoi K Yeptho, claimed that Kiyevi village has weathered all pains for years and decades to transform what was once inhabitable into a habitable settlement.
