The Jacksonville Police Department have raised the reward money offered up for information regarding a fatal shooting at an apartment complex in November.
At approximately 11:29 p.m. on Wednesday officers with the Jacksonville Police Department received a 9-1-1 call about a shooting in the parking lot of The Reserve Apartment Complex located at 100 Talon Drive.
They found 21-year-old Lamarr Jerrod Johnson who had suffered a gunshot wound and was lying on the ground. First responders immediately began life saving measures but were unsuccessful as Johnson died at the scene, according to JPD.
Investigators say several suspects are involved and fled the area in a passenger car. A canvassing of the area and witness interviews have begun in an attempt to locate any additional witnesses and evidence relating to the shooting.
