21-year-old Jakob Lee Haines of Beech Creek was killed Friday night. Brian St. John III was arrested and charged with homicide in relation to his death.
WOODWARD TOWNSHIP – Pennsylvania State Police have arrested Brian St. John, III, of Woodward Township, on charges of criminal homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another Person.
State Police responded to a reported shooting at 330 Brewery Hollow Road at approximately 8:30 Friday evening. The victim, identified by state police as 21-year-old Jakob Lee Haines of Beech Creek, was located at the residence having suffered a single fatal gunshot wound.
St. John, 19, was arraigned Saturday morning by Magisterial District Judge Frank Mills, who ordered that the Defendant be denied bail pending preliminary hearing. The Defendant has been committed to the Clinton County Correctional Facility while he awaits his first court appearance which is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 2,
VINCENT MAUCK
LOCK HAVEN Vincent Anthony Riggs Mauck, 31, of Beech Creek, was sentenced on Jan. 11 for aggravated assault on a police officer, a felony of the second degree.
Clinton County President Judge, Craig Miller, sentenced Mauck to the Clinton County Correctional Facility for 11.5 to 24 months. Mauck was also ordered to pay all fines and costs associated with this case.

On Nov. 2, 2019, troopers from the Lamar Barracks made a traffic stop for a possible DUI. The female driver struck a curb as she attempted to turn and pull into the Beech Creek Uni-Mart parking lot at 1:24 a.m.
