KOTA KINABALU (August 20): A unique exhibition featuring land art that highlights the significance of rice is now taking place at the Kota-K Art Gallery of Laman Seni here until Sept 16.
Themed Pagar & Padi, the showcase signifies the celebration of rice, harvest and the power of the people.
Kota Kinabalu: For one month, members of the public will have the opportunity to visit a newly-opened exhibition celebrating rice, harvest and the people, through the form of land art.
KOTA BHARU (Feb 22): The Federal Government through the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERDC) is working closely with the Kelantan government to implement various high-impact projects and human capital programmes to generate socio-economic development in Kelantan.
ECERDC chief executive officer Baidzawi Che Mat said it is in line with the national agenda to improve the living standards of the people and eradicate poverty, as Kelantan recorded the highest poverty rate in the ECER and the second highest in Malaysia.
“The review of the Kelantan Poverty Line Income (PLI) limit in 2020 from RM894 to RM2,139, is expected to increase the number of households living in poverty from 18,345 to 50,255, while 16,712 Orang Asli in Kelantan belong to the hardcore poor.
