The Hindu community in the country will celebrate Mahalaya, the auspicious occasion heralding the advent of goddess Durga, today.With the beginning of “Devipaksha”, Mahalaya is observed six days before Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community.
